I received a complimentary stay from Homewood Suites by Hilton but all opinions are my own.
2020 is the year for family travel. Growing up in North Carolina I’ve never been to Wilmington. For my husbands 31st birthday we decided to take a mini family vacation. We had the opportunity of staying at Homewood suites by Hilton. Looking to shop, eat, or head to the beach? Don’t worry you can locate it all within less than 10 minutes. So many of Wilmington historic attractions were conveniently near. When checking in I was greeted with the sweetest note ever. The receptionist was very welcoming she gave me all the information we needed, as well as a few restaurant suggestions. The lobby was cozy and vey inviting, there was also a story to purchase items at your convince. The office area was also located on the main floor of the hotel.
The first impression of the room was that of a one bedroom apartment. We stayed in the double queen suite. As a family of 5 with 3 children we need all the space. The kids were able to enjoy their Nick and Disney TV show, while my husband and I did a little work with the complimentary Wifi offered. I absolutely loved that the bedroom was shut off from the living room and kitchen. The kitchen has full appliances including a dishwasher, sink, refrigerator, stove top, and microwave. Also a dining room table for two.
The living area was very spacious. The couch turned into a sofa bed. Carter was in love the the coffee table from the moment that we entered the room. The flat screen TV’s actually swiveled in both the living room and bedroom. My favorite part of a stay at a hotel would have to be the soft beds and these beds received a 10 out of 10. There was also an office desk and additional dresser space. The vanity was absolutely beautiful.
They offer complimentary buffet style breakfast every morning a well as drinks at the bar/ lounge in the evening. Great breakfast options for the kids! They have different evening activities during the week. Outdoors they have a heated outdoor pool, hot tub, nice lounge area, miniature golf, and two grills.
We truly enjoyed our stay at Homewood Suites and will definitly be visiting over the summer. So much more for us to see and explore in Wilmington. Wilmington is such an historical place. Thank you Homewood Suites for hosting us!
