Our trip was hosted but all opinion are of my own.
The beach in the fall can be such a joy. In October the kids and I took a really exciting trip Wilmington. The city of Wilmington has so much history and located in eastern North Carolina. We stayed at EMBASSY SUITES BY HILTON WILMINGTON RIVERFRONT located downtown Wilmington. The location was very close to many attractions, restaurants, and local shops.
Saturday was a day full of fun for the kids. Our first stop was the NC Aquarium at Fort Fisher which is located in Kure NC. Christian was really brave a touched the stingrays, spotted an albino alligator, and saw a number of fish and sharks. I really enjoyed the hurricane section of the aquarium. This section was filled with so much information on historical hurricanes.
Next stop was Michael’s Seafood. When making a trip to the beach sea food is a must. The had such a cool set up! You felt like you were right at the beach. Michael’s Seafood is know for their clam chowder and it was absolutely amazing. I loved that the foods were only broiled, baked, or boiled. The House Cornbread was EVERYTHING it was my absolute favorite.
Our last stop was the Cape Fear River Sightseeing Cruise. The boys had a blast. This was the first time they were on a boat and they shared endless smiles. While on the boat ride through downtown Wilmington the captain shared so much history on the city of Wilmington. I want to say thank you to the city of Wilmington for showing us such a great time.
